It will likely calm down as your covid infection clears up. My flare symptoms are generally the same but I usually don’t have high fevers (low grade is normal for me). Every time I have had c diff, my fever is 103-104 F and I do hallucinate sometimes. I was never a smoker but tried it when things got bad and it definitely helped. Becoming a full on smoker would be my last resort before surgery.. or at least to get to a point in my life when I could afford to have the surgery (grad school now).
