That way the gm.dls file will be loaded for use with the integrated Timidity++ player. And yes, I've done exactly that; it sounds horrible, but it does indeed work. WebJan 22, 2014 · The file named setup_000.mid is the raw MIDI file; Scc1t2.sf2 is a soundfont file (substitute with your .sf2 soundfont); and output.mid if the audio file which is generated by the fluidsynth program. Sox uses the output.mid audio file as input and outputs a "wav" file, given the above command.

Despite their basic sound which has been mocked to no end, just about every MIDI sounds decent with them (and was written using them). Since every version of Windows comes with gm.dls, you pretty much can't go wrong.
